With all cylinders go on Blade Runner 2, the sequel to Ridley Scott’s iconic 1982 movie has now brought in another new cast member.

Alcon Entertainment has announced that Knock Knock’s Ana de Armas has been added to Blade Runner 2, with her role described as being one of the leads of the film. The Cuban actress joins a cast that includes Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, and Dave Bautista.

On this addition, Alcon’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson said, “We think Ana is one of the most exciting, up-and-coming international actors in the world today, and we’re thrilled she will be playing such an important part in this sequel.”

Also of interest, the release date of Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2 has now been brought forward from January 12th, 2018 to October 6th, 2017, with principal photography to start in July.
