Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant is starting to gather some traction as it’s brought in another four new names.

Deadline reports that Empire’s Jussie Smolett, Upstream Color’s Amy Seimetz, Selma’s Carmen Ejogo, and Machete Kills’ Callie Hernandez have all joined Scott’s Prometheus sequel. No details are known just yet on what roles these names will be playing.

Additionally, the outlet also has a separate story claiming that Billy Crudup is in talks to join Covenant. Crudup is likely best known for Almost Famous (“I’m a golden god!”) and for playing Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen. Again, no details are known on what part Crudup is being lined up for.

Already on board for the movie are Katherine Waterston, Demian Bichir and Danny McBride, with Michael Fassbender also returning as the android David.

The official synopsis on Alien: Covenant reads:

Set as the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus, Alien: Covenant connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. It begins with the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. There, the crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

At present, Alien: Covenant is set for an October 6th, 2017 release.
