Thought Warner Brothers’ SUICIDE SQUAD was already crammed enough? Apparently not, for Variety is now reporting that TWILIGHT’s Alex Meraz has been added to the film’s cast.

Meraz’s role is currently being kept under wraps, but he joins a cast that features Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Karen Fukuhara as Plastique, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller. There are also unconfirmed roles for Jay Hernandez (believed to be a cellmate of The Joker’s), Scott Eastwood (believed to be Wonder Woman love interest Steve Trevor), Raymond Olubowale (believed to be Killer Croc), Adam Beach (believed to be Deathstroke) and Ike Barinholtz (believed to be Hugo Strange). And then there’s rapper Common, who is another name believed to have landed an unconfirmed role which is speculated as being either the John Stewart Green Lantern or long-time Aquaman villain Black Manta. Additionally, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor is set to make an appearance, and there’s even talk of a brief cameo for Ben Affleck’s Batman.

To be directed by David Ayer, SUICIDE SQUAD is currently set for an August 5th, 2016 release.
