Everybody loves Alan Tudyk, right? Well, now comes word on another new project for the genre fave.

Courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter, the Firefly star has signed on to headline Syfy’s upcoming take on Dark Horse’s Resident Alien. In the series, Tudyk will be playing Harry, an alien who ends up on Earth and has to integrate himself into a small community.

From Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, Resident Alien began life as a 2012 comic book. Captain Hah Re – or, y’know, Harry to his human pals – is an alien biologist who his supernatural and empath powers.

While the comic book is set in the fictional locale of Patience, Washington, the TV take on Resident Alien will see the action take place in Colorado. It’s expected that Tudyk will get to have some fun with prosthetics and make-up to bring Harry to life.

Joining Alan Tudyk in the series will be Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds and Levi Fiehler, with Family Guy’s Chris Sheridan writing and executive producing the show.

As ever, expect more on Resident Alien as it continues to develop.
