If you’re a fan of Marvel’s Agent Carter, you might want to look away now…

Sadly, it’s been officially announced that the Hayley Atwell-starring series has been cancelled after two seasons. And that’s not all, for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off show, Marvel’s Most Wanted, has also been canned before it even got going. That show was to feature Adrianne Palicki’s Mockingbird and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter, but ABC has decided to not move forward with that series.

That’s quite the double-whammy for fans of Marvel’s TV presence, particularly for Agent Carter fans as that show had garnered quite the following. Seemingly that following wasn’t enough for ABC to see a future for the series, with it now having come to an end after eighteen episodes. Whether Atwell turns up as Peggy Carter in any future Marvel efforts remains to be seen, with her having debuted in Captain America: The First Avenger before making appearances in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man and recently in Captain America: Civil War. Given the MCU’s propensity to use flashbacks at times, maybe this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Peggy, though.

For now, though, don’t be expecting to see Peggy turn up any time soon, and then there’s the disappointment for those eagerly awaiting Marvel’s Most Wanted.
