With yesterday bringing word that Raymond Olubowale and Scott Eastwood have joined David Ayer’s SUICIDE SQUAD, The Wrap is now reporting that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has signed on to play the monstrous Killer Croc in the villain-centric film. Akinnuoye-Agbaje is best known for his appearances in LOST and THOR: THE DARK WORLD.

The character of Waylon Jones, aka Killer Croc, debuted back in 1983 as a creation of Gerry Conway and Gene Colan. Born with a condition that caused him to resemble a crocodile, Jones has undergone various changes, looks and mutations over the years, often at times appearing as one of the strongest Batman foes on the block. He was also the beast responsible for killing the parents of the second Robin, Jason Todd.

It’s safe to say that SUICIDE SQUAD is looking to introduce just a few new characters to Warner Brothers’ DC Cinematic Universe. As well as Killer Croc, the film will also feature Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and an unknown role for Jay Hernandez, believed to be that of an ill-fated cell-mate of Mr J. As for the aforementioned Olubowale and Eastwood, a rumour earlier today claims that Olubowale will be playing King Shark and Eastwood will be Steve Trevor. Too many cooks spoil the broth? You decide.

SUICIDE SQUAD is currently set for an August 5th, 2016 release.
