The upcoming monster movie mash-up, Godzilla vs. Kong, has moved to bring in Adam Wingard to direct.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the You’re Next helmer – whose other notable credits include V/H/S, V/H/S 2, The Guest and last year’s Blair Witch – has been brought in to tackle this huge crossover picture. This film will bring together the King of the Monsters seen in Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla and the Eighth Wonder of the World introduced earlier this year in Kong: Skull Island.

Godzilla vs. Kong is currently set for May 22nd, 2020, but before that we’ll see Michael Dougherty’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters head to the big screen on May 22nd, 2019.
