Now that Ant-Man and The Wasp are confirmed to be getting their own team-up movie, Ant-Man writer Adam McKay has confirmed that he’ll be returning in some fashion for the upcoming effort.

Speaking to Nerdist about whether he’ll be back for Ant-Man and The Wasp, McKay said, “We’ve been talking to Marvel actually. We just talked to them the other day, and it looks like I will be involved. I don’t know if it’s gonna be right from page one, but it looks like I will definitely be involved. There you go. There’s a little headline for the fanboys.”

Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari are currently working on the script for Ant-Man and The Wasp, and McKay will jump on board at some point to work on the screenplay. All that’s known about the film at this point is that Paul Rudd will be back as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Evangeline Lilly will be back as Hope Van Dyne as she steps into the mantle of The Wasp. Ant-Man director Peyton Reed will be back to direct the movie.

Rudd’s Ant-Man himself will actually be a part of Captain America: Civil War next month before Ant-Man and The Wasp hits screens on July 6th, 2018.
