Great news reaches us as Second Sight have decided to give one of STARBURST’s favourite films of 2012 (it ranked number 30 in the end of year poll picked by our writers) a decent re-release.
ABSENTIA was criminally overlooked when it first hit DVD, but since writer/director Mike Flanagan could well make it big with his latest, OCULUS (out in cinemas June 13th), they are giving the film another chance, to which we would normally cry “cash-in”, but this time they are loading the disc with some decent extras, and a Blu-ray option to boot.
As well as new, more representative cover art, the July 7th release boasts the following extras:
-Audio commentary with director / producer Mike Flanagan and producers Morgan Peter Brown, Joe Wicker and Justin Gordon.
-Audio commentary with director Mike Flanagan and cast members Katie Parker, Courtney Bell, Dave Levine and Doug Jones.
-‘Absentia: A Retrospective’ documentary
-Camera Test Teaser
-Deleted Scenes
