February is a pretty cold month, so it’s always a good idea to find that special someone to huddle for warmth with.  Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to let the love in your life know how you feel by giving them something quirky and well-thought-out. Of course, If you’re out of ideas for presents (and flowers just won’t do it), we have some suggestions below.

I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com

Of course, you can always try to set the mood with a romance novel. Or a good SF book? Why not a bit of both with Kimberly Lemming’s comedy take on a story that may or may not resemble The Wizard of Oz, but with more robots and romance!

WARMIES Lobster

What’s more romantic than a 30-year-old reference to Ross and Rachel from the hit sitcom Friends?  Warmies do some amazing plushies that can also be microwaved to provide heat, and this lobster-shaped fellow is a great gift, though you may find yourself hankering for seafood.

Canal Toys Photo Creator Pop Colour Camera

Canal Toys offers a great range of light but useful gifts that are budget-friendly and fit well into any celebration. Their Pop Colour Camera is essentially a cheap and cheerful digital camera, perfect to include when giving something a bit less tangible, like a trip abroad or to a theme park.

LEGO Roses

If in doubt, say it with flowers. Or better yet, say it with flowers that don’t wilt and that you have to put together yourself. Everyone loves LEGO, though that also means you can say “I Love You” with a SPACESHIP!

Disney Store: Figaro and Cleo

You can rarely go wrong with a plush toy, impish kitten Figaro and flirty goldfish Cleo from Disney’s classic Pinocchio. Of course, you may want something more on the nose, so check out Mickey Mouse Valentine’s Day Small Soft Toy.

Stormtrooper Brew Love

There’s being thirsty, and then there’s needing a drink. Stormtrooper Space Craft Beer does a nice line in IPA in lovely presentation packs. Though not appropriate for everyone, it’s a good mix of ales combined with a classic retro sci-fi look that will delight many.

Nerf LMTD Star Trek Phaser Blasters

Who needs violins when you can have NERF violence? If getting chased around the house by someone flinging foam darts at you is your thing, this is a superb choice, as it’s also Star Trek-themed. Noisy, silly and splits into two NERF guns, it’s certainly a memorable gift.

Pathfinder Battles LESHY WINDOW BOX

And finally, why say it with flowers when you can say it with some adorable plant monsters? These beasties are for the Pathfinder TTRPG, but they’re cute enough for any occasion.

Whatever you choose, and whomever you choose to treat, look after yourself and have a lovely February.
