We’ve got five great reasons to tune into Horror Channel this week….

Tuesday October 5th, 11am – Monster! (1999)

Great retro fun as a creature featured in the films that are screening at a small town’s movie festival materialises from the screen. Directed by the late John Lafia (Child’s Play 2).  Also showing on Sunday at 3pm.

Wednesday October 6th, 9pm – Village of the Damned (1995)

A double bill of John Carpenter films kicks off with this creepy remake of the classic novel The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham. Christopher Reeve, Mark Hamill, and Kirstie Alley star. Followed at 10.55pm by Ghosts of Mars (2001).

Thursday October 7th, 10.50pm – Hostel Part III (2005)

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, particularly if you’re a member of the Elite Hunting Club. An unfortunate bachelor party falls four of the torturous group. Directed by Sam Raimi regular Scott Spiegel.

Friday October 8th, 1pm – 20 Million Miles to Earth (1957)

Classic monster action containing the brilliant stop-motion effects and creature design of Ray Harryhausen. This one has the Ymir, a creature from another planet that grows to grand proportions and terrorises Italy.

Saturday October 9th, 9pm – The Skeleton Key (2005)

Kate Hudson takes a job as a nurse on a plantation and discovers a secret past involving rituals and the supernatural. Directed by Iain Softley (Hackers).
