Here are five great reasons to tune into Horror Channel this week….

Tuesday September 7th, 9pm – When a Stranger Calls (2006)

Not so much a remake of the 1979 classic as an expansion of the famously tense opening. Agent Coulson himself, Clark Gregg is along for the ride on this one and the voice on the end of the phone is provided by Lance Henriksen.

Wednesday September 8th, 9pm – The 6th Day (2000)

Arnold Schwarzenegger fronts this sci-fi film involving cloning. Set in the future, when the replication of animals is allowed, but the cloning of humans is forbidden. However, Arnold’s character has been duplicated without his knowledge, causing much confusion and leading to some naturally high-octane action.

Thursday September 9th, 4pm – This Island Earth (1955)

This genuine classic of sci-fi cinema is unmissable. Not only do you get Telfal-headed aliens grooming the Earth’s scientific elite, but there’s the famous Metaluna mutant too. It’s also one of the films that ET is watching on TV in the Spielberg blockbuster.  (Also screening on Saturday at 4.50pm)

Friday September 10th, 2.35am – Shed of the Dead (2019)

This comedy-horror’s title may be a little too on-the-nose, but it’s much better than you’d expect and certainly well worth staying up for (or watching when you’ve come in from a lock-in at the pub). Genre legends Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley, and Michael Berryman (who is ridden like a horse by everyone’s favourite Emily Booth) are amongst the cast.

Saturday September 11th, 9pm – The Last House (2019)

Originally titled Cry for the Bad Man, this low budget indie flick brings the original I Spit on Your Grave star Camille Keaton back with a vengeance. Here she plays a widow who is being swindled out of her property by some greedy businessmen. Rest assured, she won’t be the one buying the farm!

Tune into Horror Channel on Sky 317, Virgin 149, Freeview 68, Freesat 138.
