John Walsh, author of Flash Gordon: The Official Story of the Film and Harryhausen: The Lost Movies will be releasing a new book in October, Escape from New York: The Official Story of the Film.

Published by Titan Books, it promises to be the ultimate retrospective of John Carpenter’s 1981 classic. It covers every aspect of the movie’s production, with new interviews with cast and crew, as well as many never-before-seen images.
