It was a few weeks ago now that Vin Diesel revealed that he been requested for a meeting with Marvel Studios. Within minutes of the actor posting this information on his Facebook page, rumours began to circulate on just which Marvel character Diesel may be lined up for. Currently at San Diego’s Comic-Con to promote the upcoming RIDDICK, during the film’s panel he was asked about what his Marvel meeting was about.

Diesel revealed, “There is some very big news coming at the end of this month. Poor Marvel. Poor, poor Marvel.”

So, that seems to suggest that Diesel has indeed agreed to join Marvel Studios, although we’re still none the wiser on just what role that will be. I guess it’s a case of waiting until the end of the month to find out the full details, although it’s believed that Diesel will appear in THE AVENGERS 2.
