Fighting Fantasy author Jonathan Green has announced his latest adventure game book project: The Wicked Wizard of Oz. Inspired by the works of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz author L. Frank Baum, this new book will have a strong ‘Dieselpunk’ vibe to it and will, of course, be a multiple path adventure novel. Similar to the likes of Choose Your Adventure and Fighting Fantasy.

The Wicked Wizard of Oz follows on from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, but this time you are the hero. You can adopt the role of Dorothy Gale herself, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, or the Lion. Battle your way through flying monkeys or be more cunning – it’s up to you!

The novel, which is currently taking pre-orders via crowdfunding site Kickstarter, will be illustrated by Kev Crossley, a very talented artist already known to fans of Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland.  The rewards available on the Kickstarter include art prints, steampunk goggles, playing cards and a special ‘All Rolled Up’ gaming wallet.
