UK based games company Handiwork Games have launched BEOWULF: AGE OF HEROES, today.  It is a campaign setting for the world’s most popular roleplaying game, Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition.

Written and illustrated by a team of industry veterans, led by Jon Hodgson, (The One Ring, D&D, Warhammer Historical) BEOWULF: Age of Heroes features 276 pages of beautifully illustrated mythic setting, and evokes a legendary age of tales, poems and song.

Heavily inspired by  one of the oldest surviving pieces of literature (and arguably the father of the fantasy genre),  BEOWULF: AGE OF HEROES lets you take the role of a sturdy Ox-Blooded, a wily Riddle Reaver or a mighty Bench Breaker.  Those looking to dive into a world of seaxe and sorcery should be very well served here.

Those looking for a taste of the game can download the free introductory adventure  The Hermit’s Santuary here. Handiwork’s growing range of goodies can be found on their website here.
