At a time of reboots, remakes and a renewed faith in the television market, it comes as no surprise that a redo of the 1965 LOST IN SPACE show is in the works. Deadline is reporting that Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless have been hired to pen this new series.

The original show was set 30 years in the future and revolved around an attempt by the US to colonise the deepest of deep space by sending the Robinson family on a 5 ½ year journey to a distant planet.
