Plenty of fans of oddball, darkly humourous web shows are familiar with TWISTED SHOWCASE, the series created by Robin Bell and Rhys Jones. As well as featuring some familiar genre faces, the series' unique charm and appeal led to it being named as the only British independent show to make The Guardian's Top 25 list of web shows that you need to see back in 2012. Considering that list also consisted of shows that involved heavy-hitters like Seth MacFarlane, Joss Whedon, Zack Galifianakis, and Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, that's quite the impressive feat. The shows' third series is nearly upon us, with a trailer, poster and press release having now been made available.

TWISTED SHOWCASE is back with five weird, thought-provoking and scary episodes featuring RED DWARF’s Norman Lovett and TORCHWOOD’s Gareth David-Lloyd. Series 3 launches on Tuesday, September 2nd with PAYBACK; a bleak thriller that takes a terrifying look at payday loans in a heightened world synonymous with TWISTED SHOWCASE.

On working on PAYBACK, Gareth David-Lloyd said, “I love horror and I always count on TWISTED SHOWCASE to send me a script that’s impossible to turn down.” And we guarantee you’ll see Gareth as you’ve never seen him before.

It continues on Tuesday, September 9th with TOILET SOUP, a pitch black comedy starring Norman Lovett, who oozes bitterness and menace as a narcissistic toilet assistant who just wants you to learn to think.

Future episodes feature DOCTOR WHO’s weeping angel, Sarah Louise Madison, who takes centre stage in a story about the spectre of regret and domestic isolation.

One of The Guardian’s Top 25 must watch web TV shows, the only British independent show to make the list, TWISTED SHOWCASE is an eerie anthology that explores modern anxieties in an offbeat manner. Each episode sees a completely new plot and new characters, and always has an interesting and unique concept.
