WESTWORLD Pilot Recruits Oscar Winner

TV News

During August of last year we reported on the development of a WESTWORLD TV series taking shape, and by god the show has secured the endless talents of Anthony Hopkins! The Oscar-winning Welshman has been cast as Dr. Robert Ford, the creative director at Westworld who turns to unconventional measures in order to achieve his grand, robotic visions. Funny how fellas named Bob Ford are usually swines of the highest order.

TRUE BLOOD's Evan Rachel Wood has snatched another lead role in the show portraying a character "who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie". Produced by J.J Abrams' company Bad Robot, the pilot for WESTWORLD will be directed by Jonah Nolan and broadcast by industry titans HBO.

Here you can follow the link to Kris Heys' article from 2013, which focusses on plot details and more about Michael Crichton's creation.
