Sense8

Literally years since it was first mooted, Andy and Lana Wachowski and BABYLON 5 mastermind, J. Michael Straczynski have revealed the cast and plot for their upcoming Netflix series, SENSE8. The ten episode show will be available to stream next year.

Speaking to Deadline, Straczynski said, ‘the series follows eight characters around the world who, in the aftermath of a tragic death, find themselves linked to each other mentally and emotionally. They can not only see and talk to each other as though they were in the same place; they have access to each other’s deepest secrets. Not only must they figure out what happened and why and what it means for the future of humanity, they must do so while being hunted by an organization out to capture, kill or vivisect them.

The cast is a great ensemble, from across the genre board, including Naveen Andrews (LOST), Daryl Hannah (BLADE RUNNER, KILL BILL), Doona Bae (CLOUD ATLAS), Tuppence Middleton (JUPITER ASCENDING), Freema Agyeman (DOCTOR WHO), Brian J. Smith (STARGATE UNIVERSE), Ami Ameen (THE MAZE RUNNER), Tena Desae, Max Riemelt, Alfonso Herrera, Erendira Ibarra, Jamie Clayton, Miguel Silvestre and Terrence Mann.

With that cast and collective talent, we could be in line for something special.
