GAME OF THRONES star Gethin Anthony (above) has been cast as the infamous Charles Manson in NBC’s upcoming Manson family themed drama, AQUARIUS. Anthony, who portrayed Renly Baratheon in the hit HBO show, along with Grey Damon of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and BUNHEADS’ Emma Dumont, join David Duchovny of THE X-FILES for a 13 episode run.

Anyone with a passing interest in true crime, serial killers or horror films will already be familiar with the Manson murders. The premise for AQUARIUS is simple enough, with Duchovny playing a cop who goes undercover in order to track down the Manson family.

Decades after his spell as a hippie-cum-ringleader, Manson still has a dark charisma that keeps viewers glued to adaptation after adaptation. It’ll be interesting to see where drama and history blur and, if nothing else, Anthony looks like he could make a killer Manson (no pun intended!).

No time scales have been given, but we’ll keep you updated as always...
