If you’re hoping that Ridley Scott will deliver Blade Runner 2 or Prometheus 2 any time soon you may have to wait a while longer. Scott’s being a busy boy developing a new science-fiction drama for HBO entitled Pharaoh.

Co-created by David Schulner (Dracula exec. producer), Giannina Facio and Colet Abedi (author of the FAE Trilogy), Pharaoh will explore the idea that aliens helped shape and influence the ancient Egyptian and Babylonian empires. Scott will direct the pilot and then serve as executive producer should the pilot spawn a series.
