Ever since The CW’s ARROW hit screens, fans have been in debate over whether the TV-version of Oliver Queen will ever tie-in with the big screen Warner Bros. Justice League team. Right now, the WB and DC are establishing the beginnings of the JL, with Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) all set to appear in Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL sequel. ARROW’s Emerald Archer, Stephen Amell has revealed to Fandango that he has indeed had some sort of JUSTICE LEAGUE-based talks.

Amell explained, “All we have to do for something like that to happen, or even be a possibility, is continue to take care of business with our show and then we put ourselves in a position – but the important thing is our show. I have had discussions but I think the gestation process for this project is a lot slower than most people think. I mean, they haven’t even shot the next one [the MAN OF STEEL sequel]. They haven’t even shot a frame of the movie before the movie everyone thinks is the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie.”

So Amell isn’t attached to anything, has not agreed anything, and this is in no way any sort of confirmation of the ARROW world linking up to the WB’s big screen DC world, but it at least indicates that the parties are looking at all alternatives.

As suggested by Amell, if ARROW continues to produce a high-quality show that is bringing in an audience – as it has done with its brilliant Season 2 – then it makes that version of Oliver Queen hard to ignore. Then there’s the situation with The Flash, who is set to get his own series based in the same world as ARROW. Grant Gustin, of course, appeared as Barry Allen earlier in ARROW’s Season 2 ahead of this spin-off.

Expect more on this as and when it develops.
