TV News

Patrick Heusinger, probably best known to UK viewers as Lord Marcus Beaton in GOSSIP GIRL, has been cast in the leading role in NBC’s TIN MAN. No, this isn’t a reboot of Syfy’s mini-series from a few years back; instead, TIN MAN is a psychological crime thriller set in the near future that focuses on fugitive robot Adam (Heusinger) accused of first-degree murder, who may hold the key to the future of human evolution, and the young female public defender forced to fight for his cause. Adam, a robotic valet, became a murder suspect after his builder and master was found stabbed to death.

Now I might be wrong, it’s been a few years since I last read them, but I’m fairly sure that this was the premise for one of Isaac Asimov’s Robot stories. Hmm…

Although I don't recall a specific Asimov story like that, the series sounds like it will share elements with the 2004 film I Robot, the plot of which was "suggested" by Asimov's short story collection of the same name.
