TV News: ARROW to Tie into the WB’s DC Movies?

Whilst rumours – not to mention fan demand – have suggested that The CW’s ARROW may tie into Warner Brothers’ DC cinematic world, the show’s Executive Producer, Greg Berlanti, has been addressing that possibility.

Speaking to Fandango, Berlanti said, “We haven’t had any of those conversations, other than to say what characters are we allowed to use this year and advocate or request ones that are of interest to us. And every now and then, they’ll say, ‘You can’t have that guy.’ They don’t say why, and we figure out why later on.”

So, there hasn’t been any discussions yet, but here’s hoping.

With Season 2 getting rave reviews across the board, surely, if the fans keep demanding it, the powers that be will have to listen? As ARROW keeps expanding its universe and the DC characters that reside within it, surely it would make sense to use the show as a good development tool for the larger cinematic world. Maybe that’s just too logical…
