Now, don’t go getting too excited just yet, but Stephen Amell has most definitely got tongues wagging. The man responsible for playing Oliver Queen, aka The Hood/Arrow/Vigilante, in The CW’s ARROW has taken to his Facebook page to post the following picture:

Could this be Amell’s way of alluding to something more than just ARROW? Could it be that the show is to get its own version of the Justice League, much like how SMALLVILLE did? Could it be that Amell’s Oliver Queen is being lined up for the long-mooted JUSTICE LEAGUE when it finally happens? Could it just be a case of the Canadian actor simply posting the image for shits ‘n’ giggles?

It’s most likely nothing at all, but it’s definitely something to spark interest, and Amell has definitely done that.

ARROW has received a generally positive response, and I’m loving what they’re doing with the Green Arrow character and his world. Yes, there are liberties being taken with certain aspects of the Green Arrow mythos, but that’s always going to be the case when adapting a modestly-known character for a new medium in an attempt to draw in a new audience.

It goes without saying that I’d love to see Amell involved in the larger Warner Bros/DC world alongside Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ben Affleck’s Batman. A fanboy can hope, can’t he?
