WIZARDS VS ALIENS returns to CBBC this autumn, and the BBC have magicked up a load of tantalising details. The series, created by former DOCTOR WHO showrunner Russell T Davies and his SARAH JANE ADVENTURES pal Phil Ford, will continue the adventures of teenage wizard Tom and his sciency mate Benny as they come face-to-scaly-face once more with the extra-terrestrial Nekross.

In the second series, the Nekross will threaten “their most powerful attacks yet” with Davies promising “a series which is wilder, bolder, deeper and funnier than ever” and… the bit with actual information is coming up now... the series will take us “from suburbia to the wilds of Tibet, encountering spaceships, magical worlds, haunted castles and galactic wars along the way.”

WIZARDS VS ALIENS stars Scott Haran as Tom Clarke and Percelle Ascott as Benny Sherwood, alongside Annette Badland (Doctor Who, The Sparticle Mystery), Gwendoline Christie (Game Of Thrones), Dan Starkey (Doctor Who), and the sultry tones of Brian Blessed himself as the alien Nekross King.

Series 2 will have 14 episodes, a step up from last year’s 12, and will air this autumn.
