TV News: DOCTOR WHO's Moffat talks "Horrors" of Regeneration

The Eleventh Doctor will find his imminent death “frightening”, according to showrunner Steven Moffat.

Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, Moffat said:

"One of the horrors of regeneration is that a certain amount of his persona alters entirely. His appetites and his enthusiasm will change. And that’s sort of what I’m writing about now in Matt’s last episode, the fact that he’s terribly aware that he’s about to be rewritten. And it’s frightening..."

So, after the Tenth Doctor’s death was prophesised by everyone with an ounce of psychic ability and the Eleventh has already spent one whole series running away from his doom, it looks like we'll have another “I’m going to die” storyline. While the constant prophesising may be a little too much, it’ll be interesting to see how exactly Matt bows out (will it be at Cyber-hands?) and what new Doc Peter Capaldi can do with the role.

The Doctor will regenerate this Christmas, but before that, will return to our screens on 23rd November.
