Mark Gatiss has revealed to Access Hollywood that his inaugural days on the GAME OF THRONES set were somewhat confusing. Apparently the former member of THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN, and SHERLOCK co-creator has trouble keeping track of who is who, and who is doing what to whom.

"I have to say… there's a very traditional thing, growing up with DOCTOR WHO," says Gatiss,"I'd read interviews with actors where they'd say things like, 'I didn't understand a word of it, but it was a lot of fun.' And I felt a bit like that because there are so many names in GAME OF THRONES."

He added: "I was talking to some of the other actors and they said, 'We don't remember who everyone is anyway'.

Gatiss, who only joined the cast of the HBO series last week, stated that he was "overwhelmed" by the positive reception from GAME OF THRONES fans.

GAME OF THRONES Season 4 airs in Spring 2014.
