TV News: Summer Glau to join ARROW. Cancellation Imminent?

TV News

If you’re a fan of ARROW then be prepared for the second season possibly being its last, for Summer Glau has been cast in a recurring role.

According to THR Glau will portray the "enigmatically beautiful" and "dangerous" Isabel Rochev, and her character will be slightly different to that of her comic counterpart. In ARROW Rochev is the VP of Acquisitions at Stellmoor International, a company with its eye on acquiring Queen Consolidated. It’s unknown if her backstory will include her having once been a slave such as she was in the DC comics universe.

ARROW — which began production earlier this week — has already introduced a slew of DC Comics characters, including Deadshot (Michael Rowe), China White (Kelly Hu), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Deathstroke/Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett). And now the FIREFLY and TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES star is set to make her first appearance in the season premiere.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence that every show that Glau has had a starring role in was cancelled. Right?

Kevin Wales, try getting a sense of humour instead of swearing and being brainlessly abusive. Christian's piece is wryly commenting on the undeniable fact that Summer (and she has many fans at Starburst) has been cast in lots of shows which have gone on to be cancelled. Try reading the piece again; you can always skip the big words if they're too confusing for you.

It's kind of difficult to detect sarcasm in written pieces when it's more tone of voice and not always exaggeration.

Well I'd say it wasn't even sarcasm really, just a wry observation!

Sarcasm of that kind is not funny. Making jokes at other people's expense makes the person that creates the joke look stupid. It is not amusing because everybody is digging at her. Why? How about you give me a big answer using big words itemizing extenuating circumstances that would qualify this editor or article writer to be such a prick?

It's. A. Joke. A. Light-hearted. Comment. Chill.

Kevin, you do realise that Ms Glau isn't going to read this, thank you personally for defending her honour and then ride off into the sunset with you?

'The Curse Of Glau' is a well documented phenomenon. It's goddamn spooky I tell ya!

See what I mean Paul Mount, that's all people want to say that have visited this site. It's plain stupidity. There's a psychological reason that people dig at others like this. What is Yours unidentified shy person?

Christian Jones, you're an arsehole who just writes and says what you see other shit bags say. How about something more constructive and stop picking on the little lady. Were you bullied at school or shagged by your mother or something like that?
