TV News: CTU Agent Jack Bauer May Have Another Sleepless Day as Fox Looks to Reawaken 24

TV News

With the movie version of the hugely successful TV show having stalled, Fox are said to be considering a limited series. As a limited series is usually only twelve or thirteen episodes, it’s unknown if ‘24’ would have… well, twenty-four.

Former show runner Howard Gordon pitched the idea of starting from scratch to Fox, with a completely new story arc. If that’s the case will Bauer be back at CTU? Will there be any mention of Jack going on the run as he did at the end of season eight? Or is this a complete reboot? For now it’s all speculation. However one thing is clear as Kiefer Sutherland – whose series TOUCH has just been cancelled after two seasons - is in talks to return as Jack Bauer.

For those unfamiliar with 24, each season was a day-in-the-life of Counter Terrorist Unit agent Jack Bauer. He would race against the clock to subvert presidential assassination attempts, nuclear, biological and chemical threats, cyber-attacks, as well as government and corporate corruption. All with an "ends justify the means" approach.

I’m feeling safer already!
