MTV has given the go-ahead to a pilot based on SCREAM, the horror film franchise created by WES CRAVEN and KEVIN WILLIAMSON way back in 1996.

The channel officially announced the show at a presentation in New York, confirming a pilot with the hope of releasing an entire TV series next summer.

Nothing has been announced as to how this is possibly going to work, but WES CRAVEN is in talks with Dimension Films to direct the one-hour pilot. So this might be a good idea after all.
