TV News

Well that didn’t take long! A mere few weeks after UTOPIA came to the end of its six-part run, it’s now been confirmed that fans of the conspiracy thriller will be treated to a second. Here’s Channel 4’s head of drama Piers Wenger:

‘Thanks to the extraordinary creativity of Dennis Kelly, Marc Munden and the team at Kudos, the first series of Utopia shocked and delighted critics and fans by turns. We are thrilled to announce the further adventures for Utopia’s eclectic cast of characters which are already shaping up to be more imaginative, outrageous and brilliantly intriguing than the first.’

Expect UTOPIA Series 2 to hit sometime in 2014. In the meantime, you can catch up with Series 1 on DVD/Blu-ray, out now.

The first series vanished up it's own a*rs before it got halfway through its run. Good idea, terribly executed. I certainly shan't waste any more hours on watching it.

Excellent news. Not a show that needs to run and run but a second series is most welcome.
