TV News

Following on from last week’s news that newcomers Tyler Ross and Izabela Vidovic have been signed to take over the roles made popular in 2009’s movie by Jesse Eisenburg and Abigail Breslin, comes news of who will step into the shoes of Emma Stone’s Wichita. Step forward 24-year-old Maiara Walsh (above).

A quick glance at her IMDb reveals Walsh has been around for a little longer than her co-stars, but with the likes of MEAN GIRLS 2 (there was a sequel?!) and THAT’S SO RAVEN spin-off series CORY IN THE HOUSE (nope, us neither), it doesn’t appear the producers of ZOMBIELAND are relying on star-power to fuel their resurrection. She was in two episodes of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES though, so eagle-eyed genre fans might recognise her from that.

Original creators Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick are returning to their creation in writing/producing roles, with Sony and Amazon Studios footing the bill. Should the pilot prove a hit, expect to be seeing ZOMBIELAND later this year.

Question: Who should round out the core cast and take over from Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter @STARBURST_MAG
