TV News

The pilot episode of Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. has been shooting for a good few weeks now, so it's surprising how few details have made their way online. Maybe they've got some actual S.H.I.E.L.D. agents guarding the production from the prying lenses of gossip-hungry paps and spoiler-obbsessed fans? Any drip-fed deets have come from the principal behind the scenes crew, and the following is no different. Here's the latest set pic tweeted from writer/executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen (@MoTancharoen):

The Pilot of Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D. is being written and directed by Joss Whedon, who will produce the show if it goes to series (and it will) alongside brother Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loed.

Despite taking place post-AVENGERS, Clark Gregg returns as Agent Phil Coulson. Somehow. New to the MCU are Ming-Na Wen, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain De Caestecker, Brett Dalton and Chloe Bennet. Expect cameo appearances from other Marvel Studies movies to crop up regularly.

Look for S.H.I.E.L.D. to start airing this September if all goes well, and as always, we'll keep you up to date on all developments...
