TV News

THE X-FILES had its fair share of serial killers - Eugene Tooms, Luther Lee Boggs, Harry Cokely, Robert Patrick Modell, to name but a few -  but now Gillian Anderson will face fiction’s most iconic yet, Hannibal Lecter himself.

Anderson has been cast in several episodes of NBC’s upcoming prequel/reboot show, HANNIBAL, as the titular killer’s therapist Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier.

This will mark the first time Anderson has appeared in a US series since X-FILES finished its run ten years(!) ago.

The actress is just one more reason to watch the show, which is shaping up very nicely, with a great ensemble cast including Mads Mikkelson (CASINO ROYALE), Hugh Dancy (KING ARTHUR), Caroline Dhavernas (WONDERFALLS), Laurence Fishburne (THE MATRIX TRILOGY), Molly Shannon (SNL), Eddie Izzard (MOCKINGBIRD LANE), GINA TORRES (FIREFLY) and Scott Thompson (KIDS IN THE HALL).

HANNIBAL debuts sometime in 2013.
