X-FILES

It might not be the news we really wanted to hear - ie: Chris Carter returning to TV with brand new X-FILES at last! - but this is intriguing nonetheless...

Deadline are reporting that Carter has sold his pitch for a new show titled THE AFTER, which will revolve around "a mysterious, unexplained event", and will feature sci-fi elements. That's it for details at the moment, sorry folks. Georgeville Television, the same guys who are bringing us the BLAKE'S 7 reboot (read about that HERE if you missed it) and the Wachowski/Stacyynski collab SENSE8 we told you about yesterday, are on producing duties, and will begin shopping the project to US networks next week.

Let's hope THE AFTER can put Carter back on the map. Maybe then studios will take his much talked about X-FILES relaunch seriously.

We'll have more news on THE AFTER as it develops...
