A Knight's Tale

Following on from August’s news that BATTLESTAR GALACTICA showrunner Ronald D. Moore was set to oversee OUTLANDER, a small screen adaptation of Diana Gabaldon’s time-travel centric book series, comes news of another TV project on his slate. Sony Pictures TV are moving forward on a new version of their 2001 flick A KNIGHT’S TALE, a 14th century set tale of, well, a Knight (or wannabe Knight to be precise) that took the unusual (some might say irritating) approach of infusing it with contemporary rock music. The film was a minor hit, but gained a large cult following on DVD. It also introduced the world to Heath Ledger and Alan Tudyk. Moore will executive produce, with original writer/director Brian Helgeland also on board to produce. Both will provide scripts for the series.

For those of you unfamiliar with the 2001 original, here’s the original trailer to bring you up to speed:

We’ll have more news on this project as it develops…
