Game of Thrones

Following on from the recent news that Dame Diana Rigg will once again be gracing our screens in a forthcoming episode of DOCTOR WHO's seventh season, comes the announcement that the ex-Avenger Emma Peel herself has been cast in GAME OF THRONES.

The beloved actress will portray Olenna Redwyne the Queen of the Thorns, a name that will be familiar to George R.R. Martin’s army of fans… and one that will mean pretty much bugger all to those of us who just follow the show (I know, I know, I’ll get around to reading it soon, it’s just that in a perverse way I don’t want to spoil the TV series!).

Other notable additions include Mackenzie Crook (aka Gareth from the UK’s OFFICE and Ragetti, aka that bloke with the wooden eye, in THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN flicks), and Paul Kaye, the comedian who provided much mirth during the late nineties with his cruel Dennis Pennis persona.

As for the rest, have a look at this newly released announcement video for all the details…

GAME OF THRONES season 3 returns to our screens March 31st 2013.
