Acclaimed British actor David Morrissey (BLACKPOOL; DOCTOR WHO) has won the coveted role of uber-villain The Governor in season 3 of AMC’s hit show...

For anyone who hasn’t read the comics you’ll need to check out Starburst issue 374 (available HERE) for our feature on our most-anticipated TWD storylines to find out why this is so news worthy, or just trust us when we tell you - if you thought things have been a little grim for Rick and the gang so far, you’ve not seen anything yet.

But while the champagne corks pop over at casa Morrissey, spare a thought for poor ol’ Tom Savini, who has been actively campaigning for the role for years. "Everytime I see the graphic novel", said the FX legend recently "and I see a picture of The Governor, who looks just like me, I send Greg [Nicotero] a picture. I just won't give up!”. Sorry Tom. At least you don't have to mack on your own undead daughter anytime soon.

Is he the right choice, or should Tom have got the part? Share your thoughts or vent your anger in the Comments section or on Twitter @Starburst_Mag
