Bryan Singer to Direct Pilot of New X-MEN Show

TV News

It was earlier this week that it was reported that FOX was taking the pilot for its upcoming live-action X-Men show into production, and now it’s been revealed that none other than Bryan Singer will be directing said pilot.

This still-to-be-titled series will exist in the same world as the big screen X-Men franchise and will indeed tie to that movie-verse. Singer, of course, is the director of X-Men, X2, X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse.

It was previously known that Singer would be involved in this new show in a producing capacity, and now it’s been officially confirmed that he’ll be helming the pilot.

In terms of what to expect from this show, it will focus on two ordinary parents whose children have mutant powers. Going on the run from the government, the family join up with an underground group of mutants as they look to survive in a hostile world.

This new show is just one of two upcoming live-action mutant-driven efforts, with FX’s Legion – which focusses on David Haller, the son of Charles Xavier – premiering next month.
