Charlie Cox Wants Bullseye for DAREDEVIL's Third Season

We know that Marvel’s Daredevil will be getting a third season at some point in 2018, but we don’t know which other characters will be joining Charlie Cox’s Guardian Devil. For Cox himself, though, he’s got one character in particular that he’d love to see join this fan favourite show...

Speaking to ScreenGeek, Cox enthused, “It’s no secret, I’ve said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it. I’d like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point. I think it’s a really interesting opportunity. Deborah Ann Woll obviously does not want Bullseye to show up for obvious reasons. Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn’t want Bullseye to show up either.”

Of course, what Cox is alluding to there is the fact that the comic book Karen Page and Elektra didn’t fare too well when Bullseye was on the scene. In fact, the rogue killed off both of these love interests of Matt Murdock.

Many casual fans may just think of Colin Farrell’s Bullseye in 2002’s Ben Affleck-starring Daredevil when thinking of this villain, but he truly is one of the best villains in the Marvel comic book world when handled in the right way. Given how brutal, clinical and flat-out violent Marvel’s Daredevil has been during its two-season run on Netflix, Bullseye would be a perfect fit to step into that world at some point in the future. Whether that happens in Season 3 of the show, we’ll have to wait and see. Interestingly, ahead of the series’ second season, there were rumours that Jason Statham was in talks to play Bullseye, but that ultimately came to nothing.

Up next for Cox’s Hornhead is Marvel’s The Defenders, in which he’ll join Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist in an eight-episode mini-series that will see the titular team come together to battle Sigourney Weaver’s ‘big bad’.
