TV News

There’s been rumblings of Stranger Things getting a second season, and now Netflix has moved to confirm that Season 2 of the hugely popular show will arrive in 2017.

This second season will be made up of nine episodes as oppose to the eight that Season 1 had. Additionally, creators/writers Matt and Ross Duffer will both be back to oversee the new season.

No further details are known at this stage, although we’d have to presume that the primary cast of the first season will be returning.

The below announcement video has been released to whet your appetite for now:

If you’ve yet to check out Stranger Things, we cannot recommend the show enough. A love letter to many genre efforts of the 1980s, the series’ basic premise centres on a young boy who goes missing and a mysterious young girl who happens to arrive at just around the same time.

Expect more on Stranger Things Season 2 as we get it.
