In an interesting move, FOX’s Gotham has brought in a new actress to play Poison Ivy.

Warner Brothers TV has announced that Maggie Geha will join the show in the third season, replacing Clare Foley in the Ivy role. Foley has appeared as Ivy Pepper in the first two seasons of the show.

To coincide with this, a new description has been released for Ivy in Season 3:

Following an encounter with a monster from Indian Hill, Ivy Pepper finds herself reborn and one step closer to the DC villain she is destined to become: Poison Ivy. Now a 19-year-old woman who’s harnessed the full power of her charms, she sets her sights on Bruce Wayne.

That certainly seems like a shaking up of the Ivy character lies ahead when Gotham returns.

Season 3 of Gotham is set to premiere on September 19th in the US, with a UK airing likely to follow shortly after.
