The Walking Dead’s Chad L. Coleman has joined another huge genre favourite, Arrow.

IGN has word that the actor, who many will remember as Tyreese from AMC’s walker-driven show, is to play a villain known as Tobias Church in the upcoming fifth season of The CW’s Arrow. Seemingly a fresh creation especially for the show, the rogue is described as “an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command.” Coleman's Church will debut in the season premiere and will go on to become a recurring character in the season.

Given how the Season 4 finale saw Oliver Queen become Mayor of Star City, chances are that Tobias Church will be a public menace that Ollie will have to tackle both in and out of his famed green hood.

In terms of recent new additions, Arrow’s next season has already added Rick Gonzalez as Wild Dog and Josh Segarra as Vigilante, two characters taken straight from the comic book world.

Arrow returns to US screens on October 5th, with a UK return hopefully following shortly after.
