With DC’s Legends of Tomorrow confirmed for a second season, the concluding moments of the show’s first year saw a major tease of the JSA possibly being in the show’s future. Adding further to going in that direction, Minority Report’s Nick Zano has landed the role of Dr. Nate Heywood, better known as Commander Steel.

The final minutes of Season 1 saw the arrival of Rex Tyler, the Justice Society of America member known as Hourman. With Commander Steel also joining the fray, it seems that the JSA is certainly on the horizon for The CW’s time-travelling spectacular.

As for the character of Nate Heywood, he was the third person to take on the mantle of Commander Steel. The original Commander Steel issomeone who debuted in 1978, whilst Heywood didn’t actually arrive until 2007.

It remains to be seen exactly which characters will be back for Legends’s second year, but we now at least know one of the new additions that we can expect to see.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns later this year.
