It seems that comic book-based TV shows are all the rage at the moment, and there’s now some news on further Marvel shows heading to the small screen in the future.

With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. proving a success, there was talk of a spin-off series, dubbed Marvel’s Most Wanted, going into development. Well now comes word that Most Wanted has been confirmed for a pilot by ABC. Additionally, Damage Control, a Marvel-set comedy focussing on those who have to clean up the mess left behind by the world’s superheroes and villains, is a show in development, but there’s now been confirmation that a second Marvel-themed comedy show is in the works for ABC.

ABC Entertainment’s Paul Lee revealed all of this in an interview with IGN. He wouldn’t confirm what the focus of this second comedy show would be, simply stating that in the long term they “would love” to have the series on their network. He did, however, discuss Damage Control, saying, “That’s the one that’s going to be coming out this season. I haven’t read it yet. I can’t wait to see it. We hope it’s going to be great.”

Moving on to the topic of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin-off Marvel’s Most Wanted, Lee confirmed that a pilot has been ordered and added, “We love the script. We think it’s going to be great. We’re doing that in the next few months.” Written by Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski, that series will centre on Adrianne Palicki’s Mockingbird and Nick Blood’s Lance Hunter. Additionally, Bell and Zbyszweksi will serve as showrunners should Most Wanted get picked up for a full season order. Executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen chimed in on the spin-off, saying, “It’s every you anticipate as well as things you don’t expect at all. It’s just really nice to be able to dive into those characters, and Paul and Jeff have done that exceptionally well.”

Expect more on all of these projects as and when they develop.
