With Supergirl heading to the small screen later this year, the CBS series has added another villain to its ranks.

EW is reporting that Sons of Anarchy’s Chris Browning has signed on to play DC’s Reactron in the Melissa Benoist-starrer.

Reactron is a rogue who made his comic book debut back in 1983’s Supergirl #8, depicted as a US soldier who had spent time in Vietnam. Also known as Ben Krullen, he went a little crazy on a small Vietnamese village, slaughtering many before being taken down himself. Only he wasn’t fully taken down. Believed dead, he would actually end up full of nuclear energy and rage, taking on the moniker of Reactron in the process.

From what’s being reported, it’s believed that Supergirl’s version of the character will have Reactron as an established villain who has already butted heads with Superman.

Supergirl debuts in the US on October 26th, with a UK home yet to be confirmed.
