With Ash vs. Evil Dead set to debut later this year, the show has added Mimi Rogers to its ranks.

Rogers has appeared in various genre efforts over the years, such as Ginger Snaps, The X-Files and Tales From the Crypt. In Ash vs. Evil Dead, she’ll play Suzy Maxwell, a woman reunited with her family after a freak accident.

The actress joins a cast that currently includes Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones.

Plot-wise, the synopsis of the show reads:

Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind's only hope.

Sam Raimi is directing the pilot episode, and he’s developing the series with Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert. Ash vs. Evil Dead will debut in the US on Starz later this year, with a UK home yet to be confirmed.
