In some casting news, The CW’s ARROW/FLASH spin-off show has added Franz Drameh in a suspicious new role. The actor is best known for appearing in the likes of ATTACK THE BLOCK and EDGE OF TOMORROW.

The role itself is a character called Jay Jackson, officially described as “A former high school athlete whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meet as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew.”

Sound like anyone you know? Yep, it all sounds ever so similar to Victor Stone, aka Cyborg, currently set to be played by Ray Fisher in BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Other suggestions are that Drameh’s character could be an incarnation of Black Lightning or Static Shock.

This latest addition joins a cast which currently includes Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Victor Garber as Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Ciara Renee as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, and an unconfirmed role for Caity Lotz, who played the presumed-dead Sara Lance/Canary in ARROW.

The currently untitled spin-off show will debut next year.
